After our basement flooded because of a power outage I decided I would do the best I could to prevent it from ever happening again.  I did a lot of research, from huge box-stores to small businesses and countless online consumer reports.  Everything I found was either too expensive, too cheap, or too unreliable.

As a last-resort I contacted the owner of an electrical supply company we use at the manufacturing plant I work for.  I asked about inverters, marine batteries, even generators, and all he said over and over was that he swore by Gartech’s Power Plus.  He said he’d bought one about five years ago and hasn’t had a flooding issue since.

Even if Gartech’s PowerPlus wasn’t far and away the best sump-pump backup unit out there – which according to my research it is – just working with Marty would be reason enough to install one of his unit’s anyway.  Never once did I feel any kind of pressure to buy his system; all he conveyed was a sincere and genuine desire to help.

He gave us a free consultation detailing what would be best for our basement, personally installed everything we needed, and carefully walked us through everything we needed to know about his product and the work he’d done.  On his way out he urged us to call him personally if we had any other questions.
